COVID & Emergency Response

The COVID-19 pandemic impacted children, families, communities and institutions all across the nation. It exposed the vulnerabilities and inequities in our schools, health, mental health, employment, housing systems, etc. Many families have since struggled in the face of loss of loved ones, loss of economic and housing stability, and for some, prolonged exposure to an abusive partner, or exposure to violence. While COVID-19 made these inequities more visible, in reality, they have always been there. In response to the pandemic, FUTURES has provided guidance and recommendations to address system saps, trauma, and adversity.
