Columbus Regional Shelter for Victims of Domestic Violence dba Turning Point Domestic Violence Services, IN

Columbus Regional Shelter for Victims of Domestic Violence, Inc. (d.b.a., Turning Point Domestic Violence Services) has been providing Intimate Partner Violences (IPV) services since its shelter opened in a local motel in 1975. Since that time, direct services have expanded to include a 24-Hour Helpline, sexual assault services, case management, Latino services, legal advocacy and representation, professional assessment, children’s services, and transitional housing.

Today, Turning Points 40-bed Emergency Shelter and Non-Residential services now serve a six-county area. In addition, the Prevention Department works at the individual, relationship, community, and societal level through multi-faceted programming throughout TP’s service region. The main objective for this project is to expand TP’s ability to meet the increased needs of local survivors by working with community partners to provide comprehensive, community-based outreach, prevention, and direct services that address the multiple, complex and far-reaching causes and consequences of IPV.
