The Butterfly project, Behavioral Health for Youth and Families Impacted by Violence (BHYFIV) will improve the system response to children and parents who have experienced domestic violence in Illinois by: 1) improving systems and responses to abused parents and their children and youth exposed to domestic violence; 2) developing cross-sector community coalitions in all target counties; 3) providing education and information to agencies that impact children and youth exposed to domestic violence; and 4) providing training to the judiciary, police departments, health departments and others working with families exposed to domestic violence and their children.
